The Work that Reconnects: An Introduction

Join Pam Candea and Gray Davis for a day-long session of the Joanna Macy spiral of the Work that Reconnects on Saturday, 28th September, 10:00 – 16:00 BST.

The Work That Reconnects (WTR) combines lessons from ecology, systems thinking, and spiritual traditions to build community, resilience, and solidarity. Over the course of the day, we will take a journey through the Spiral of WTR. The day will consist of individual, small group and whole group exercises which aim to equip us with skills essential to addressing the climate crisis, like community building and processing grief.

No matter who you are, if you have a desire to help in the uncertain times ahead, then this is for you.

Our design of the session aligns with the practices of the Work That Reconnects created by Joanna Macy.

Lunch

There will be a lunch break at around 12:45. Please bring your own lunch, lunch will not be provided. You will have 60 minutes for the lunch break and there are various cafe’s and shops within walking distance where you can get food. There is an oven/stove and a microwave as well as a fridge to store food.

Tickets

This is a ticketed event. Tickets can be found here: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/the-work-that-reconnects-an-introduction-tickets-995944826787

This event is part of the Salisbury Centre’s Eco Programme and as such we want to make it as accessible as possible. This means that nobody is expected to make a payment if they cannot afford to do so. However, any donations received allow us to make the events’ programme sustainable as well as to provide some reciprocity towards community facilitators’ time and skills offered.

Where a “suggested donation” is listed, this is just an indication of what the event might cost if it was ticketed – it is fine to donate less (or nothing at all). Donating is one way to show your appreciation for the value of the Salisbury Centre. Please consider ‘paying it forward’ by donating a bit extra if you can afford, helping to keep it possible for everyone to take part, regardless of their circumstances.

If you cannot afford any donation but feel this workshop is for you, or you would like to pay cash on the day, please contact the facilitator at [email protected]. Free spot are available for those who need them.
