We were thrilled to receive funding from the University of Edinburgh’s Local Community Grants Scheme for a collaborative project with the student-led BlackED movement. BlackED is an anti-racist organisation founded to uplift and support black people at Edinburgh University.
This collaboration, called ‘Black Lives Matter – 1 year on’ aimed to increase community cohesion by discussing issues of race and marginalisation. The project set out to increase inclusivity, solidarity and support, and the sense of welcome and ownership young Black people feel in our community space.
