We first piloted Community Therapies in March 2023 and found there was a need for accessible therapies in Edinburgh. While there is a big offer of treatments in the city, most of them aren’t very affordable.
The aim of Community Therapies is to make therapy accessible for all by offering treatment on donation basis. The programme relies on clients’ honesty in terms of their finances. This way, those who can afford to pay more can sponsor the subsidised spots.
Community Therapy slots are available at the Centre on the last Thursday and Friday of the month.

Our donations system explained
You can book each session by donation of your choice. We set the minimum donation as £10 to minimise the number of no-shows. Please see below for a more detailed guide to suggested amounts, based on your circumstances.
Keep in mind that your donations support the Centre and our Therapists directly.
You can cancel and get a full refund up to 48 hours before the treatment. Doing that ensures that your spot can still be taken by somebody else.
We trust you to pick the price because we believe you can assess your financial situation much more accurately than we ever could.
If you or someone you’re signposting requires a free spot, please email the therapist directly. You can find their email on the Eventbrite page for their treatment.
What to expect
Most sessions within the Community Therapies programme last between 30-50 minutes. Please refer to the booking page for details.
Please arrive 5 minutes before your treatment, to ensure you can settle in and start on time. Keep in mind the therapists may be treating other clients before and after you.
