Welcome to this screening of The Secret Life of The Soil Superheroes!

The event was originally live streamed in March by the wonderful Soil Squad CIC and Start With the Soil.

Join us for a deep dive into the magical world beneath our feet with Soil Ecologist Sandra Tuszynska. Together we will discover the secrets of the most biodiverse ecosystem on Earth – the soil beneath your feet. Meet the microscopic superheroes (bacteria, fungi, protozoa and nematodes), which drive nutrient and water cycles, nourishing plants, us and all the other creatures. Learn how to support their vital superpowers to ensure food security, biodiversity conservation, habitat and climate restoration.

Sandra Tuszynska is an agricultural scientist who specialises in soil microbiology, mycology and ecology. She has great respect for the microscopic creatures which support all other life forms, and has created the Soil Restoration Course (which can be accessed for free on youtube) focused on soil biodiversity and ecology to celebrate their unique superpowers. As a passionate public speaker and science communicator, Sandra inspires action towards soil restoration to regenerate biodiversity, for abundant food production, ecosystem restoration and climate balance.
