This precious, extraordinary, beautiful Earth. How might we spin songs that cause our souls to weep from the wonder and pain of this remembered Earth? This ancient, magical surprising Earth. How might we share music that causes our dancing feet to leap as we travel the wild forgotten ways of this remembered Earth?

Weaving together inspiration from their home among Dartmoor’s high hills, and Scotland’s craggy mountains where they travel often to wander and be in wonder, Carolyn and Nigel blend layered voices and intricate melodies with many ancient and traditional instruments, including hand-carved wooden flutes, whistles, fujara, koncovka, jura guitar, piano, skin drums, deer bone rattle and other antlered percussion, as well as lyrics in the 4000-year-old Proto-Celtic language. This music travels from soul-filled to mystical, from earthy to ethereal, from dream-wrapped to dance-infused.

They will be performing from new and recent albums including The Creel & The Crock & The Cauldron, This Remembered Earth and Lichenheart.

Concert begins 6.30pm and ends around 9pm. Refreshments available.
