Salisbury Centre Development Day (An Update)

On Wednesday 10th January a group composed of the Salisbury Centre Board of Trustees, current staff and community members (Including key volunteers and community facilitators) met for an auspicious development day. The day was externally facilitated and structured about two main sessions.

The morning session aimed at re-affirming some of the core values binding together the Salisbury Centre community. This simulated a lively and positive dialogue which brought some clarity around some of the priorities needing addressing, especially toward ways to ensure radicalĀ  inclusion and empowerment of the current community to steer the Centre toward an exciting and thriving future.

The afternoon, attended only by staff and trustees, looked into some more organizational processes and focussed around identifying next steps to support a review of the Centre’s structure and governance, as well as reviewing some of the current policies.

Overall, the day felt very positive, full of hope, and stood as a key step toward supporting the development of our beloved Centre for the times to come.

Want to know more or get more involved? Now is a great time for that!
A lively grassroot Salisbury Centre Community Working Group has been meeting regularly as a way to gather input from community members around key priorities and processes, including gathering ideas and feedback for a possible review of a Salisbury Centre’s Membership model as well as suggest improvement for processes around booking and using the Centre’s space.
